“Operating System”
Windows Family:
Microsoft Windows that is mostly referred as “Windows” is the most used operating system in the world. Windows 8 is the latest version of Windows. A picture of Windows 8 is attached on the side.
We are now presenting a brief summary of evolution of Windows Operating System:
Windows 98:
Windows 98 was an upgrade version of Windows 95. Despite of being old it is still being used in some schools and also in some home computers. Windows 98 was not a perfect operating system but after that more people try to launch a more advance operating system.
Windows NT:
Windows 98 was later combined with an older OS Windows 95 and the combination was named as Windows NT or Windows NT station.
Windows 2000:
Microsoft Windows 2000 was released in two main versions Windows Me and Windows 2000 professional for business and schools. With respect to appearance Windows 2000 resembles to Windows 98 a lot.
Windows XP:
Microsoft Windows is probably the easiest version of Windows. It was released in 2001. It was marketed in two versions Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Professional.
Windows XP has all the basic software pre-installed in it. Windows XP is a lot improved with respect to visuals with clean lines and more security.
Windows Vista:
Windows Vista is the OS that is more complex with respect to Windows XP. New visuals, Sounds, Themes made Windows Vista an unreliable Operating System.
Windows 7:
Windows 7 released in 2009, probably the most successful Operating System of Windows family. Windows 7 is the successor to Windows Vista.
Windows 7 also has new sounds, themes, wallpapers, themes and visuals and these are much better then the one vista had.
Installation of 7 is kept as simple as possible and many new features are introduced.
Windows 8:
The latest OS of the Microsoft has received a very great feed back. Icons are replaced with much bigger start list buttons. Using computer has become as easy as it could
